WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO HAVE A COLD?
A cold is an inflammation of the mucous membrane in the nose, sinuses and throat. Colds are very contagious and are the most common infections in humans.
WHAT IS THE CAUSE?
A cold is caught by inhaling airborne droplets containing the virus or through contact with contaminated objects, where the viruses are then transferred through the hands to the eyes, mouth or nose.
HOW DO I CATCH A COLD?

HOW OFTEN DO WE CATCH A COLD?
Adults contract an average of 2 to 5 colds a year. In children, this can rise to 6 to 10 colds per year.
HOW LONG DOES A COLD LAST?
A cold lasts, on average, no more than 7 to 10 days. However, some symptoms can last up to 3 weeks.
DO ANTIBIOTICS HELP WITH A COLD?
Colds are caused by viruses in 95% of cases. Antibiotics act on bacteria and are, therefore, of no use against a cold. Antibiotics can only be beneficial if there is superinfection (extra infection with complications) of bacteria in addition to a common cold.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A COLD AND A FLU?
Flu is caused by the influenza virus and is characterised by more serious symptoms: a usually rapid onset of a high fever with a very sick feeling and cough. The high fever lasts 2-4 days and often causes headaches and staggered muscle pain. PELAFORCE™ prevents the complications associated with flu.
WHAT CAN I DO FOR PREVENTION?

CONTRAINDICATIONS?
PELAFORCE™ is not to be used in the following cases:
1. Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to the excipient
2. Increased tendency to bleeding and application of coagulation-inhibiting drugs
3. Severe hepatic and renal diseases, as no adequate data are available in these areas
4. Pregnancy and lactation
5. Children < 3 years
SPECIAL WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS FOR USE?
In the package leaflet, the patient is advised to consult a doctor immediately if his or her condition does not improve within one week, in case of fever lasting for several days or in case of shortness of breath or bloody sputum.

Herbal drugs may interact with certain medication. If chronic medication is being taken, consult a medical practitioner prior to using this product.
PREGNANCY AND LACTATION?
